The Council Guide

Scouts de America

Headquarters: Mexico City, Mexico

First Troop Founded: 1943

Changes: Fully absorbed into Direct Service Council (800) by 1971

*While Scouts de America does not appear to have received a local council charter from the BSA, members of BSA units in Mexico City wore Scouts de America shoulder patches and other insignia over a sustained period of time much as members of stateside units wore their local council insignia.  Furthermore, an Order of the Arrow lodge, Cuauhtli 446, was associated with Scouts de America.  For these reasons, and as an aid to collectors, its badges are listed herein.
